Privacy Policy

The site collects only the minimum required for its operation. It contains no marketing tracking and no selling of information to third parties. Full use is possible even without an account.

What Is Stored in Your Browser

• Resume playback and listening status — Playback positions and shiurim marked as listened (localStorage).
• Saved items, follows and preferences — The shiurim you saved, the follows you set up (including a custom name), notification preferences, playback speed and volume, display mode, and the collections filter you selected.
• Sender Details — If you have submitted shiurim, your name and phone number are saved for your convenience for future submissions.

User Account (Optional)

Signing in is optional, via a Google account only. When you sign in, we store your name, email address and profile picture (as they appear in your Google account), along with the synced data: resume points, shiurim marked as heard, saved items, follows and preferences (including sender details, if you filled them in). The data is used solely to operate these features, is not transferred to any third party, and can be fully deleted by contacting us.

Notifications

• Browser notifications — If you enabled them, we store the browser's notification subscription (a delivery address and encryption keys issued by the browser), together with your follows and notification preferences — so we know what to notify you about. This works without an account as well. Turning it off in your personal area or in the browser settings deletes the subscription.
• Email Notifications — Sent only if you have explicitly enabled them; every email includes an unsubscribe button.

Listening metrics (the rings)

To calculate what percentage of a folder, a Rav or an archive you have heard — the browser sends the server the IDs of the shiurim you heard. The IDs are counted and discarded immediately; they are not stored on the server and are not linked to you (unless you chose to sync them to your account).

What We Collect

• Anonymous listening statistics — Play, download, and search counts. The IP address is not stored in the statistics data — in its place, a one-way signature that changes daily, which cannot be linked to you.
• Operational server logs — Kept for up to 30 days for security and integrity purposes, and deleted automatically.
• Submit Shiurim — When you submit, the name and phone number you provided are saved, together with the files, solely for content intake and quality control.
• Contact form — A message you send us (with a name and contact detail, if provided) is stored with us and delivered to the site team's mailbox, solely for responding to and handling your inquiry.

Cookies and third-party services

The site uses operational cookies only: session identification, the repositories filter, your chosen display language, and a one-time marker that a display language was suggested to you by country. Traffic passes through Cloudflare for protection against attacks; the submission form runs Cloudflare's human-verification component (Turnstile). No tracking libraries, no marketing pixels.

To measure usage volumes, the site runs Cloudflare's Web Analytics component — counting visits and page views only, with no cookies and no collection of personal data.

Language matching by country

On a first visit, the display language may be set according to the country code provided by Cloudflare (for example, Yiddish for visitors from the US). The country code is not stored by us, and your manual language choice always prevails.

• content received from organizations and institutions that made it available to us with their consent and approval;
• content purchased by us or produced in-house;
• content sent to us by visitors, in reliance on their declaration that they own the rights to it and have transferred the full rights to us;

Copyright in the content remains with its owners. Its presentation on the site implies no claim of ownership on our part nor any waiver of rights. Use of the site is intended for personal study and review.

We act in good faith and take care to verify with those providing us content that they hold the required permissions. Nevertheless, given the multitude of sources, material may be uploaded for which an error was made regarding its rights.
